This jam one of those versatile foods, that can be used in many scenarios: on a cheesecake, sponge cake, pancakes, with pork or turkey. It is so popular in my family, I always have a few frozen bags of cranberries in the freezer.
Ingredients
5cupscranberries
5cupswater
1 1/2cupbrown sugar
2orangesorange zest
1orangeorange juice
1/2tspcinnamon
1/4tspnutmeg
Instructions
Wash the cranberries and the oranges very well.
Zest 2 oranges and squeeze the juice of one orange only.
Put all the ingredients in a big pot, bring to a boil and, after removing the lid, let it simmer for one hour.
