How to make the perfect Braised Beef

The perfect Braised Beef is usually cooked for hours with plenty of liquid, which makes it tender and richly flavored. Here are some simple steps to make this dish:

– Season the beef with salt, pepper, and dry oregano.

– Put the seasoned meat into a Dutch oven or deep oven dish that you have prepared with the vegetables, tomato passata, fresh basil, onion, and garlic cloves. You can also add water if needed. Cover and cook for 4-5 hours at 300 degrees Celcius until it is fork-tender or until completely done. Braised Beef is best served over mashed potatoes!

Ingredients

  • 680 ml of tomato Passata
  • 2 carrots cut in chunked
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed or minced
  • 1 pack (227 g) of Mushrooms whole or cut in two
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1/2 tps salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 tsp of dry oregano
  • 3 tbsp fresh basil
  • 850 g Boneless Blade Inside Roast
  • 1 cup water if needed

Instructions

  • Season the beef with salt, pepper, and dry oregano.
  • Put the seasoned meat into a Dutch oven or deep oven dish that you have prepared with the vegetables, tomato passata, fresh basil, onion, and garlic cloves.
  • You can also add water if needed.
  • Cover and cook for 4-5 hours at 300 degrees until it is fork-tender or until completely done. Braised Beef is best served over mashed potatoes!

    Is the temperature really 300 degrees C..? That is way hotter than any normal oven. Perhaps it is supposed to be degrees F ?
