Banana Spice Cookies with Chocolate Chips

How to make cookies without too much sugar

To my opinion, the best way to cut down on the amount of sugar you need is to replace it with any type of fruit. You can replace part of the sugar in pretty much any cookie recipes with apple sauce or with mashed bananas. Also, another trick I use is I replace some of the sugar with vanilla yogourt. What is great about the yogourt it adds moisture into any cookie recipe. So if you want chewy cookies instead of hard and dry cookies, add some yogourt in your recipe! Now, this following recipe is all about that! A nice not too sweet cookies with a chewy texture… here are the best Banana Spice Cookies with Chocolate Chips ever!

Banana Spice Cookies with Chocolate Chips

In a large mixing bowl, mix the oil and the brown sugar until smooth texture. Add the eggs and the bananas; mix well. Combine the flour, baking powder, the cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and the nutmeg. Add to the creamed mixture and mix very well. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips into the mix. The dough will be very soft.

Prepare 3 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Drop the dough using a cookie spoon onto the cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake them at 375 degrees for 20 – 30 minutes. Place the hot cookies into a wire rack to cool.
