Cranberries are amazing little red fruits! They are great for your immune system, against heart disease, but mostly they are so delicious and versatile in a kitchen! You can pair them with your Sunday pork roast, with your Thanksgiving turkey, or use them on a cheesecake or on a simple piece of bread as a jam! This recipe is so simple, yet the choice of the ingredients makes it the Best Cranberry Jam you will ever eat!
This jam one of those versatile foods, that can be used in many scenarios: on a cheesecake, sponge cake, pancakes, with pork or turkey. It is so popular in my family, I always have a few frozen bags of cranberries in the freezer.
- 5 cups cranberries
- 5 cups water
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 oranges orange zest
- 1 orange orange juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- Wash the cranberries and the oranges very well.
- Zest 2 oranges and squeeze the juice of one orange only.
- Put all the ingredients in a big pot, bring to a boil and, after removing the lid, let it simmer for one hour.
